Hello old friend..

And no I do not mean Rolf. I wonder how he is doing these days? It's been a while since we've lived in the tall house. Some days I would hear strange noises in the early hours, and when I took the boys out the back in the morning, there would be a puddle near the garden hose, as though someone had showered with it. My laundry was always left open, so if Rolf was indeed a homeless person living under my house (rather than a figment of my imagination, or a family of possums), at least I know he had clean clothes.

These days my little family are living in a cute cottage style home that is much closer to the ground, and does not have a host of ticks living in the trees and undergrowth. I am working on a pretty garden.. I shall have to post photos once it starts to take shape. I have been a busy beaver, painting walls white, and building shelves (with the help of Mr T). Some crazy person, who occupied this house before us, painted over the lovely timber mantle. So now this crazy person has attempted to scrape it all off. It's not quite done yet, looks a bit shabby, but it will look pretty when it is complete. Again, photos to be posted at some point.

More recently, I paid a visit to some friends in this amazing little place called Melbourne. I can't believe I had never been there before. I will definitely be going back. It was a very inspiring trip, and I think there will be a project or two that comes out of it... Watch this space.

Happy new year to the blogging world.. One of my resolutions for this year is remembering that I have a blog, and using it.
